Position Summary
At Stony Brook Medicine, the Cardiology IT Supervisor leads the cardiology IT team. This position is responsible for the day-to-day support and performance of the cardiology team and cardiology IT solutions. This position will oversee all cardiology IT projects as a technical project manager and contributor. Qualified candidates demonstrate superior communication and organization skills while adhering to our high standards of excellence.
Duties of a Supervisor Cardiology IT may include the following but are not limited to:
* Ensures the uptime and performance of critical cardiology IT managed systems and platforms.
* Leads the cardiology IT team through guidance and communication.
* Manages cardiology IT staff, including performance management, timekeeping and staff development.
* Manages daily operations including production support, task delegation, internal communications and overall resourcing.
* Serves as first point of escalation for cardiology IT team members and clinical and operational stakeholders.
* Serves as project contributor and represents Cardiology IT in enterprise-wide projects and initiatives.
* Serves as technical project manager for cardiology IT system upgrades and implementations.
* Assists with the management of the cardiology IT budget and engages in capital planning activities including obtaining quotes, gathering supporting documentation, writing justifications and submitting funding requests.
* Manages vendors and escalations, ensuring that performance and service standards are being met.
* Reviews change management requests to ensure system uptime and performance.
* Reviews cardiology IT systems and platforms for opportunities to optimize performance and enhancement security.
* Develops and maintains cardiology IT documentation, including application, diagnostic workstation and modality inventories, testing scripts and downtime procedures.
* Assists with the development and maintenance of cardiology IT policies and procedures.
* Oversees cardiology IT related testing events, including unit testing through to end-to-end testing.
* Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to role and department mission.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or related field.
* 5 years of progressive experience in a complex healthcare environment managing technology solutions.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with cardiology solutions, including Syngo Dynamics, Cardio Workflow, MUSE, MacLab, CardioLab.

- Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Medicine's Employee Health Services*

- Successfully complete a 4 panel drug screen*
- Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre-employment screenings.
- Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position is - $110000 - $144000 / year.
The above salary range represents SBUH's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate's validated years of comparable experience. Any efforts to inflate or misrepresent experience are grounds for disqualification from the application process or termination of employment if hired.
Some positions offer annual supplemental pay such as:
* Location pay for UUP full-time positions ($4000)
