Job DescriptionPosition PurposeThis person has primary campus responsibility for providing data and reporting services including creating real-time, dynamic, online, user-customizable and pre-made reports as well as fulfilling ad-hoc data requests as requested by Administrative and Academic Departments for the college. This person will participate in technical design, programming, report generation, and will utilize relational databases within these applications.Position ResponsibilitiesDatabase and Reporting Requests/Development. This could include but is not limited to the following:Works with a variety of parties on campus to identify data needs for data-driven decision making.Writes Microsoft SQL queries to satisfy data requests.Develops online real-time and pre-made (canned) reports (Microsoft Power BI Report Server).Develops OLAP database structures.Understands database structures to store college data.Understands stored procedures to manage and populate databases and reports.Generates and maintains documentation of work, best practices and data dictionaries.Able to create workflow analysis, requirements statements, objectives, and data and process models.Utilize data warehouse data to generate reports and lists as requested.Utilizes secure data reporting and database management practices; ensures data security for all work.Maintain working knowledge of Database Management Systems, development tools and languages.Participate as a regular member of the Development Team to contribute to the strategies, goals, and objectives for the group.Salary Range:$27.76 - $45.14/hour(DOQ ? Salary Placement will be done at time of hire.)Minimum Qualifications2 years of experience with enterprise technologies that support combining, preparing, analyzing and visualizing data (e.g. Power BI, ODI, SharePoint).2 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including Reporting Services.2 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services, or similar OLAP database experienceExperience with an enterprise level database engine such as Oracle or MS SQL.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.Ability to clearly and readily communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.Preferred QualificationWorking knowledge of MS Access.Advanced knowledge of stored procedures and views.Other RequirementsTo facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.
