In-Person Saturdays 8/30, 9/6, 9/20, 9/27, 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Online on Thursdays 9/4 - 9/25 from 6:00pm - 8:15pm

Location: Moraga, CA
This course covers Risk Management which is the process of identifying, quantifying, and adjusting the risk(s) in a portfolio and/or business operations to the desired risk levels. The course takes a mathematical approach to recognize, quantify, and manage three primary forms of financial risk: interest rate risk, equity market risk, and foreign exchange risk. The course covers how to use derivatives including Futures, Forwards, Options, and Swaps to manage portfolio risk. The course will also discuss various other source of risk such as liquidity risk and commodity risk
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Master's or Ph.D. preferred in a relevant area of Finance discipline.
Candidates should have a successful record of teaching experience at the graduate level and experience/familiarity with online/hybrid instruction in order to prepare for contingencies. This position requires all course related work to be performed in the state of California.
The salary range for this position is $4,320-$6,872 dependent on qualifications. The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
