The Risk & Compliance Coordinator, under general supervision of the Director of Risk Management & Safety, ensures compliance with Federal, State and/or System regulations provides assistance and administrative support to management in the areas of Risk Management Review, Risk Management Advisory, Enterprise Risk Management, Audit Liaison, Purchasing and Invoicing, and/or Workerâ™s Compensation Programs. Serves as Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Position is located at the Stephenville campus with work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate which may include after hours, weekends, and/or holidays. May be required to travel to satellite campuses.
Must have the ability to work remotely at the request of the university in times of inclement weather or other special circumstances.
Job Responsibilities
Maintaining records of compliance activities, preparing reports for management and coordinating with internal and external auditors.
Manages and Serves as primary Human Resource liaison for workersâ™ compensation claims.
Assists management in the annual review and revision of the Enterprise Risk Management plan as necessary due to changing circumstances and priorities.
Assists in coordinating all internal and external audits, including providing information requested, coordinating responses, planning and coordinating pre-audits and follow-up audits.
Reviews and evaluates submission of special events, including but not limited to, Student Events, Programs for Minors, Summer Camps, Study Abroad, etc. to ensure compliance with university rules, policies and insurance requirements
Maintains comprehensive manuals, guides, checklists, presentations, procedures, and policies for Risk Management & Safety programs
Coordinates office records retention and maintains office references and resources materials.
Provides expert level Risk Management and Compliance training and administrative functions.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
Bachelorâ™s degree in applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience in administration, program management, or risk and compliance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with people at all levels of an organization, manage multiple projects and priorities with deadlines, respond quickly to changing situations, and work well under pressure while maintaining individual and team effectiveness.
Exceptional problem-solving and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and foster a teamwork atmosphere.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to applicable laws/statues/policies related to access, maintenance and dissemination of sensitive information.

Salary Range
The target base annual salary range is $44,000 to $55,550.50 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
