Description:

Our client has an immediate need for a Network Security Engineer (Fortinet/Cisco), who specializes in firewall and VPN incident response, vulnerability remediation, and perimeter security management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• 6+ years of experience
• Proven experience in large enterprise data center environments with Fortinet firewalls (specifically larger models in clusters and High Availability setups) running 7.x code
• Experience with Cisco firewalls running FTD 7.4
• VPN Support: Expertise in configuring and administering client VPNs using Cisco AnyConnect and Cisco firewalls running FTD 7.4, supporting up to 30,000 users
• Fortinet Tools Proficiency with Fortinet tools: FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Firepower Management Console, and FortiAuthenticator
• Ability to work independently with minimal training
• Availability: Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and handle weekend change windows
• Experience in Splunk, LiveNX, and Entuity for troubleshooting is a plus
• Certifications in Fortinet or Cisco Firepower VPN technologies are a plus
• Project management skills/self-management skills are a plus

Responsibilities: 

• Troubleshoot firewall and VPN incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Analyze vulnerabilities, compliance risks, and fault conditions on perimeter security devices
• Develop and execute remediation plans for identified security gaps
• Configure, maintain, and optimize high-availability firewall clusters in large enterprise environments
• Support VPN infrastructure, including high-scale Cisco AnyConnect environments with up to 30,000 concurrent users
• Utilize Fortinet and Cisco management tools to monitor, manage, and secure the network perimeter
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network security best practices are implemented
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours and weekend change windows as needed
• Contribute to annual security projects and continuous improvement initiatives
