Information Governance & Privacy Specialist (Data Loss Prevention (DLP)/Access Management)

Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Information Governance & Privacy Specialist (Data Loss Prevention DLP/Access Management) to support the firm’s governance and privacy initiatives. In this essential role, you will have the opportunity to work across various Information Governance and privacy principles as a valued member of the Information Governance team, with a focus on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Access Management. This position reports to and works closely with the Director of Information Governance to implement an integrated IG and privacy program designed to optimize the firm’s use of its information assets and ensure the firm’s information strategy aligns with regulatory, privacy requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the IG team in further developing and maintaining DLP and access management related processes.
• Manage DLP alerts and work with appropriate teams to resolve.
• Serve as the administrator for the applications supporting IG and Privacy operations.
• Manage the DLP rules and exceptions based on firm policy and regulatory requirements.
• Promote the adoption of the firm’s IG and privacy initiatives.
• Track and report on IG and privacy process metrics.
• Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Assist in performing standardized review and audit processes for IG and privacy related policies and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2+ years’ experience in an IT or DLP position.
• Very good understanding of information technology architecture.
• Familiar with domestic and international data privacy laws and other compliance certifications. (ex. CCPA, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI).
• Familiar with general security principles.
• Strong project management and customer service skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technology at an admin-level.
• Good communication and written skills.
• Excellent organization, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy, professionalism, and client-service orientation.
• Strong sense of urgency and a high-energy level.
• Experience with the following is a plus: Information Governance and Records Management software such as BigID or Veronis, Intapp, Jira, iManage Work 10, iManage Share, Office 365, Digital Guardian, and MS Purview Compliance.
• This position is based in the firm’s Atlanta Corporate Office and follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance at least one day per week. Candidates interested in applying must submit a resume and complete our firm's application to be considered.
