The Maryland Medicine Compressive Insurance Program (MMCIP), self-insurance trust for The University of Maryland Medical System and the University of Maryland Faculty Physicians Inc is seeking a qualified applicant to fill its Regional Director of Clinical Risk Management position. The opening is primarily located in Northern Baltimore and Harford County, with some responsibilities in Baltimore, Maryland. The Regional Director shares in the oversight of the MMCIP Clinical Risk Management program and leads the strategy, development, and execution of clinical risk management initiatives for the Northern Region. The Regional Director and the clinical risk management team focus on identifying, assessing, and mitigating clinical and financial risks across those served by MMCIP.
Qualified applicants will possess a master’s or other advanced degree, 3 years clinical experience, 5 years of prior risk management, patient safety or legal experience, CPHRM certification and evidence of supervisory experience and ability.
About Maryland Medicine Comprehensive Insurance Program
The Maryland Medicine Comprehensive Insurance Program (MMCIP) is a joint venture between the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and The University of Maryland Faculty Physicians Inc (FPI). MMCIP provides Risk and Insurance services for UMMS and FPI entities, including Clinical and Non-Clinical Risk Management, Professional Liability, General Liability, Workers Compensation and Commercial Placements.
