GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general direction of the Aviation Security Compliance Manager, the Aviation Security Compliance Analyst position supports, develops, and implements security measures for compliance of federal security regulations and serves as a technical expert in the Airport Security Program (ASP) and compliance. Working closely with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), air carriers and other airport stakeholders to proactively ensure compliance with security regulations at DFW Airport.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and monitor the ASP and other applicable TSA security regulations/policies for compliance and security measures, to include drafting amendment updates and enforcement. Works closely with TSA and builds strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Reviews and reports security violations and incidents, this includes investigating and processing notice of violations. Proactively works with Board departments, contractors, and vendors to ensure proper understanding and compliance with the ASP. Reviews compliance with Board and Department policies, state and federal laws. Reviews, research and drafts timely correspondence to security findings or Letter of Investigations (LOI’s) ) identified by the TSA. Perform technical reviews, data analysis, strategy development, and makes critical recommendations concerning security measures, implement policies, planning, and programming to ensure compliance. Reviews design & construction documents, phasing plans, permits, and makes recommendations for compliance and security needs. Actively conducts airport outreaches to educate and train stakeholders on security policies and measures. Works on security projects, to include deploying new technology and other security enhancements. Participate in a rotational on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure continuous support and timely issue resolution. Availability and responsiveness during off-hours are essential to meet operational needs. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, criminal justice, business administration or a related field.
Two (2) years of aviation security, airport operations, military, or law enforcement experience.
Citizenship of the United States of America.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
Has not been convicted of a Class “B” misdemeanor within the last ten years or any offense greater than a Class “B”.
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.

Ability to understand and adhere to the Airport Board’s safety, security and fire protection policies when performing assigned work on Airport property.
Ability to pass mandatory security trainings.
Ability to complete all mandatory Board trainings.
Ability to pass a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA).
DESIRABLE
At least one (1) year experience in the field of airport security, law enforcement, airport operations, or related field.
At least one (1) year of experience that performed one or more of the following duties: maintained an Airport Security Program, performed inspections of airport facilities for security issues, partnered with TSA to resolve security concerns.
Complete AAAE – Airport Security Coordinator (ASC) training within 6 months from hire date
Knowledgeable with CFR 1520, 1540, 1542 regulations, Security Directives and National Amendments.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/ Badge within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
This is a designated safety sensitive position as defined in DFW Airport’s Drug and Alcohol Administrative Policy and Procedure. Applicants selected for this position will be required to pass a drug test prior to employment and to submit to drug screening on a random basis during the length of their employment in the safety sensitive position. Must successfully obtain and keep non-movement driving privileges.
Must obtain a CJIS Security Awareness Training certification to meet section 5.2 CJIS Security Awareness Training requirements in the SJIS Security Policy. Training must be completed within 30 days from the date of employment and then biennially thereafter.
