The Department of Information Technology supports the technology needs of the College by acquiring, installing, maintaining and upgrading hardware, software and network resources. The department's long-term focus is to develop and pursue a strategic plan for technology with broad based input from all college constituencies that will meet the growing and diverse needs of a community college. The Information Technology Coordinator will provide administrative, technology and project support for the daily activities of the Office of the Chief Information Officer and the Department of Information Technology.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of a comprehensive community college.
Work collaboratively with others and provide quality technology customer service.
Reporting and Data Management:
Research, develop and prepare written reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Using the College's data systems, coordinate the development of reports about the IT department
Develop tracking reports and dashboards to enable leadership to measure IT performance, initiatives and services.
Provide budget-related reports and documents to the CIO, the IT leadership team, and others within IT as needed.
Communication:
Develop content for newsletters, memos, social media, and the Web.
Update and develop IT web/portal content as directed.
Respond to and manage inquiries from faculty, staff, students, and outside parties.
Support the Information Technology Change Advisory Board (CAB) by communicating approved changes to relevant stakeholders and in developing and maintaining a shared calendar of these changes.
Assist the CIO with disseminating information to the IT department as directed
Projects:
Track IT's projects, update the project portfolio, and create reports about the status and activities of IT's projects.
Coordinate and implement various projects as assigned, including department and college- wide strategic initiatives and various presentations and communications.
Develop communication plans for assigned IT Projects
Technology Support:
Assist with the management and tracking of IT department priorities.
Become familiar with all appropriate state and college policies related to activities conducted within IT.
Support the CIO's technology environment.
Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate's degree in business, information technology or related field
Competencies:
Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collegially with students, faculty, administrators, colleagues and outside parties.
Experience supporting projects and coordinating communication efforts
Positive, proactive approach to work.
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
Ability to work independently on multiple assignments and to work collaboratively within a team.
Must be detail oriented and self-starting with the ability to make sound judgments in a variety of situations.
Excellent ability to problem-solve within large institutions/systems.
Higher education experience preferred, with preference given to experience in an Information Technology role or in an Information Technology department.
Experience with integrated application software (such as Banner).
Knowledge of reporting software (such as Argos).
Experience with an HTML editor for web page development.
Knowledge of higher education principles, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of higher education law, including FERPA, Clery Act and Title IX
