Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: High School diploma or GED required.
Valid Ohio Driver's license with clean arrest and driving record; selected candidate will be subject to a criminal background investigation, fingerprinting, employment history verification, driving record abstract. Available 24/7 shift scheduling including holidays as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous security related experience desired.
Current CPR/ AED certification. OPOTA training. Ability to work in a campus setting while using logical problem solving skills in meeting Public Safety and Academic goals.
Summary of Duties: Dispatches security personnel to emergency and non-emergency incidents. Issues parking permits and IDs. Conducts background checks, and fingerprints for faculty, staff, and students. Dispenses/receives campus keys for full and part-time staff and faculty. Conducts security patrols of all campus facilities and parking lots on and off campus property. Enforces motor vehicle regulations on campus; issues parking citations, checks buildings for safety and security hazards, secures and opens buildings, classes and offices as needed. Responds to fire alarms as appropriate and resets alarm panels as needed. Acts as a liaison with police, fire and alarm center personnel. Provides information by telephone and/or radio; maintains the daily log. Obtains information and renders written reports on fire, crimes, unusual incidents, complaints, mishaps, and vehicle accidents not involving injuries. Performs a variety of safety and security-related duties; administers first aid as needed, operates small fire extinguishing equipment, operates campus vehicles; promotes proper safety practices within the campus population. Conducts inspections of emergency, interior and exterior lighting as needed and reports outages of lights to facilities maintenance. Conducts fire extinguisher inspections. Other additional duties as directed by supervisor.

Work Hours: This is a part-time position working weekends. Shifts assigned may vary to meet the needs of the college & campus and may include: Friday/Saturday 11:30 p.m.-8:00 a.m., Saturday/Sunday 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Saturday/Sunday 3:30 p.m.-12 midnight or other shifts.
