We’re excited to open a growth opportunity for a seasoned Enterprise Data Governance Leader. This position is ideal for someone who has demonstrated deep knowledge of our business and data ecosystem, and is ready to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise-wide data architecture.
In this strategic role, you will leverage your experience and internal insight to ensure data consistency, accessibility, and integrity across the organization. You’ll bridge business needs and technical execution by establishing and enforcing standards for data modeling, governance, and integration—all with a keen understanding of our systems, people, and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of enterprise-level conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with organizational objectives.
- Define and promote enterprise data modeling standards and best practices across business units.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders—business leaders, solution architects, data engineers, and analysts—to ensure data architecture supports evolving business strategies.
- Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to recommend data management solutions that meet enterprise needs.
- Support and expand ongoing data governance and master data management (MDM) initiatives.
- Ensure the scalability, security, compliance, and performance of our data architecture.
- Maintain a living enterprise data catalog and metadata management framework.
- Champion innovation in data strategy, drawing on your internal experience and knowledge of emerging trends.
What You Bring
- A strong track record within the organization, with at least 5 years of progressive experience in data architecture, data modeling, or information systems.
- Deep knowledge of our current data platforms, along with familiarity with modern architectures including relational, NoSQL, and cloud environments (e.g., Azure, Snowflake).
- Proficiency with data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin, or PowerDesigner.
- Strong understanding of data governance and stewardship principles, ideally aligned with DAMA-DMBOK or similar frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional initiatives.
Preferred (but not required)
- Familiarity with AI/ML data frameworks and modern data warehousing concepts (e.g., SCD, Star Schema).
- Proficiency in data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) and database systems (Oracle, MS SQL Server).
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data projects.
- Working knowledge of programming in Python, Java, or Scala.
