eNGINE is seeking a Security Engineer to join a small, high-impact security team at a growing firm based in Pittsburgh, PA. This position is hybrid (3 days onsite) so candidates must be local to the area. As the Security Engineer, you’ll lead administration of the SIEM, EDR, and Identity Protection solutions, as well as drive improvements in event detection, response automation, and threat hunting.

What You’ll Do

• Administer and optimize CrowdStrike EDR/NGAV, Identity Protection, and SIEM solutions.
• Lead and improve security event management, incident response, and threat hunting.
• Partner with managed security service providers to mature processes and detection capabilities.
• Support cloud migration and security controls (Azure CSP, DevOps guardrails, CNAPP).
• Conduct vulnerability analysis, threat modeling, and patching remediation.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years in Information Security with strong hands-on engineering experience.
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, PAM, MFA, NGFW, and related security platforms.
• Hands-on expertise with CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, Tenable, and Azure.
• Strong knowledge of malware detection, remediation, and security incident response.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, CQL, XQL).
• Strong communication skills, able to work across technical and non-technical teams.
