Duties
IT Project Manager-ENT's role is to assist with managing technical projects in the healthcare and IT system environment. This position manages the planning, execution, and completion of various projects. The IT Project Manager position collaborates with clinical and non-clinical cross-functional teams, including software developers, system architects, clinical and healthcare professionals, and stakeholders at all levels, to ensure that projects and tasks are delivered on time, within scope, and meet the organization's quality standards. The IT Project Manager works closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints and develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk assessment while identifying and engaging necessary resources for project execution.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages day-to-day customer requests for service
- Manages Incidents related to customer request
- Act as a liaison between clinical customer and technical teams
- Oversees small scale projects and tasks
- Oversees a phase or portion of a large-scale project
- Conducts weekly rounds on assigned customer areas
- Completes request in an acceptable time frame
- Purchases hardware required for Health System Customer Requests
- Solid Organizational Skills
- Provides 24/7 support when needed
Job Specific Duties
- Providing technical expertise within an assigned business unit/area, usually as a member of a project team or support, in the analysis, design, and development of business applications. Participating with other IT members, customers, and other stakeholders in new product reviews, tests, and pilots
- Leading, collecting and analyzing business requirements for large, multifunctional projects. Performing feasibility studies, translating requirements into an appropriate design. Preparing detailed design, specs and test plans. Identifying conflicting business practices and integration issues, suggesting alternative solutions
- Assist with evaluating and implementing application software packages. Anticipating and creating technical options to support IT operations and business objectives
- Developing business relationships and integrating activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts. Fostering and maintaining good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels. Providing leadership skills within team
- Providing technical consulting support on projects or system issues.
- Works with users to solve problems with available technology including hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Studies and analyzes system's needs, trains users on software and hardware, handles troubleshooting, and provides quality assurance review of user systems.
- Acts as a project manager, typically performs time estimates, and regularly reviews status of project.
- Keeps abreast of technological developments and may install new hardware and software for user groups
- Coordinates enterprise end-user routine adds, moves and changes
QualificationsQualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field or work experience may substitute for education requirement

- Demonstrate knowledge of project management principles and practices
- Proven experience in successful completion of healthcare systems implementations
- Demonstrate ability to promote and maintain good interpersonal relationships, and a proficiency in team building, conflict resolution, and group interaction
- Prove ability to manage large diverse groups of individuals and work effectively with all staff as well as executive leadership
- Demonstrate experience with evaluating new customer needs and documenting the business case and technical requirements
- Demonstrate ability to prioritize and multi-task
