Functions as a member of the Arts and Sciences Technology Services (ASCTech) Operations - Support team, providing comprehensive computer hardware and software support to the College, with a primary focus on users in the assigned unit(s). Maintains users' IT hardware and software, and interfaces with related instruments and devices in a heavily Linux unit. Troubleshoots and resolves problems; installs and deploys new/upgraded hardware and software; directly supports other IT facilities such as laboratories, AV-equipped conference rooms, and special research networks in the College. Coordinates within ASCTech to provide technical advice, guidance, and create solutions for IT users, including researchers with unique and varied needs; recommends solutions and services to meet IT users' need
