Join Cisco’s Global Risk Management (GRM) team as a Risk and Insurance Senior Manager, where you will lead and shape innovative risk and insurance strategies that protect and empower our global business. Reporting to the Director of Global Risk Management, you will play a critical role in designing insurance programs, managing claims administration, and driving risk mitigation efforts in partnership with cross-functional teams worldwide. 

GRM is a small but influential team within Cisco Treasury, dedicated to evaluating and minimizing hazard risks through insurance and contractual risk transfer mechanisms. This role offers the opportunity to influence Cisco’s risk posture and collaborate with diverse teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, negotiate, and manage comprehensive insurance programs leveraging risk transfer and self-insurance strategies aligned with Cisco’s risk tolerance and strategic objectives.
• Conduct risk exposure assessments for property, business interruption, cargo, and other commercial risks.
• Oversee claims administration to ensure timely, efficient, and effective resolution of losses.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, carriers, third-party administrators, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support business initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions.
• Monitor emerging risks such as cybersecurity, AI, and PFAS, adapting insurance strategies proactively.
• Lead or contribute to process improvements and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Mentor and influence team members and partners to drive results and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading commercial insurance and risk management programs.
• Expertise in fronted and self-insured commercial insurance lines including Professional Liability, E&O, Cyber, Property, Business Interruption, Transit, General Liability, Auto, and Workers' Compensation.
• Strong financial acumen and business insight to support informed decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor, Masters) - Technical or Business.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Executive presence with outstanding communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and resolve complex problems.
• Experience working cross-culturally and cross-functionally in a global environment.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and change initiatives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS).
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARM) are a plus
