Under Direction of the Assistant Superintendent, organize anddirect activities of the District Safety and Security Servicesdepartment in accordance with the laws of the State ofCalifornia and the policies and practices of the Desert SandsUnified School District; to provide District security support toschool sites and other district facilities; to provide protectiveservices for the district students, employees and assets; toprovide highly complex and confidential staff assistance toAdministration. This classification is the District’s chief securityofficer and emergency response and disaster preparednesscoordinator. This position oversees the operation of theEmergency Command Center.
